Tolima Colombia Reserve

This coffee comes from an association of small coffee producers located in La Palmita, in the municipality of Rovira, Tolima, deeply committed to sustainable agriculture.

Farmers from this area have not had it easy. Many faced hardships during the coffee price crisis of the 1990s and decades of armed conflict that displaced countless families throughout the region. However, coffee production remained a significant activity here. Following the Peace Agreement, many producers returned to recover what had once been theirs, and much of the land remained free of synthetic chemical fertilizers, creating ideal conditions for regenerative organic agriculture. Today, producers in the area continue to build on this legacy, promoting environmentally responsible farming practices that prioritize water conservation, soil health, and organic fertilization. As the region continues to grow and reconnect with other regions and new buyers, producer associations play an essential role in creating employment, providing technical training, and strengthening opportunities for younger generations who choose coffee as their livelihood.
