Part-Time Retail/Wholesale Trainer + Barista

Job Description

Our Retail/Wholesale Trainer is a combined role for an experienced coffee professional designated to work with our retail, sales, and marketing teams to supply training, education, and brand management, as well as working as a barista within Linea Caffe’s retail locations. Reporting directly to Linea Caffe’s Director of Coffee and Retail General Manager, the Retail/Wholesale Trainer will coordinate training for both our two San Francisco cafes and at the locations of our wholesale customers, supporting and growing their knowledge of both coffee and the Linea Caffe brand. Some schedule flexibility will be required to accommodate onsite training. This role is a hybrid position weekly hours distributed across the two job functions and rates. 

Qualifications
• A true enthusiasm for coffee backed by extensive coffee/espresso, tea, and beverage preparation knowledge
• Thorough understanding of Linea Caffe’s espresso and coffee brewing recipes. This involves an understanding of the various brewing devices used at our cafes, as well as  equipment we recommend to our guests, such as Hario, Chemex, and other related tools
• Troubleshooting skills and basic repair knowledge applicable to a variety of brewing equipment. 
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle, valid California driver’s license, and insurance
• Be an excellent communicator in both spoken and written English, with great listening and interpersonal skills
• Training skills adaptable to multiple environments utilizing various technologies
• Fluent in Google Workspace, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Compensation

Barista hours: Minimum $28/hour plus tips
Trainer hours: $41/hour
